Ragged Field Bees and Visiting Butterflies
At the end of the summer, the bees' wings become ragged and torn. If you look closely you can see them in these photos. The yard at this point was littered with bees that had come to the end of their summer work lives.
Our Kickin' Chickens! is a fun way to document our chicken keeping adventures with our friends and family. There are seven "chicken mommies" in our little group who have pitched in together on this project. Though only three of us live at the house with the chickens, the other folks have contributed funds and moral support, named a hen, and shared in the delicious eggs once the girls (aka hens) started laying.
